This product really cleans. My dog's fur is thick and curly with dirt, leaves, and seeds sticking to it easily. This shampoo lathers well, rinses clean, and leaves a fresh, mild smell. I also recommend the conditioner if your dog's fur is thick and/or long - it is worth it!
